Settings and your data
Everyone in your organisation can read Settings. Only admins can change anything on it. A contents list at the top of the page links to each section. These are its sections, top to bottom.
- Slack owner messages
- Microsoft Teams messages
- Jira and Linear tickets
- New-risk alerts
- Tag policy
- Leaver automation
- Your data, below (admins only)
Your team
Members, roles and invitations have their own page, Team, in the menu. Its help is Your team and roles: what each role can do, inviting people and leaving an organisation.
Your data
Download your data gives you everything Strays holds for your organisation as one JSON file: the organisation, accounts, findings, scans, access reviews, leaver reports, team members, invitations (without their links) and payments, plus a plain decisions list at the top (which item, kept, snoozed or reopened, by whom, when, and until when). Sealed tokens, invitation links, your external ID and the operators' private notes aren't included, and nor are the stored scan reports (open those from Reports). Internal database keys are removed. More about where it lives in Security and your data.
Deleting your organisation
Under Your data, open the Delete panel (it carries your organisation's name), type the name exactly and choose Delete the organisation. It deletes the organisation and everything Strays holds for it, for everyone in it, straight away: accounts, findings, reports, reviews, Slack, Teams, Jira, Linear and directory connections, and your team's sign-ins. Backups expire within 35 days. It can't be undone.
- If you pay through Stripe, cancel in Billing first. Strays won't delete a paying organisation.
- It doesn't remove the read-only role from your AWS accounts. Strays never changes anything in AWS, so you remove it yourself, and the page lists the steps for each account. Removing Strays.
